Statement of Purpose
This organization is established for the purpose of improving the teaching of mathematics in all educational institutions within Orange County. The methods of accomplishing this purpose shall include the study of mathematics for its own sake, the improvement of relations between mathematics teachers, administrators, and the public, and the study of curriculum and methods for teaching mathematics.

The OCMC Endorses Dr. Mark Ellis for NCTM President!
The Orange County Math Council is proud to support and endorse Dr. Mark Ellis, Professor of Secondary Math Education at Cal State-Fullerton, and long-time supporter/member of the
Orange County Math Council, as he runs for the office of
President of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
The OCMC Boards urges all NCTM members to vote for Dr. Ellis during the election timeframe of September 23 through October 31, 2014 through the online voting process.
